Idrees and the New Old Shoes

Idrees dreams of being the fastest runner in school, but his old, scuffed shoes can barely keep up. Mama promises him a “new” pair, except when he opens the box, they aren’t new at all. They’re worn! At first, Idrees feels disappointed, but a neighbour's need shows him how even old shoes can carry fresh purpose and kindness.
